Scottish Rugby have confirmed that head coach Vern Cotter has agreed to extend his contract.
The 53-year-old, who took charge last year, had previously been committed to the Scots until the end of the upcoming World Cup.
However, Cotter has now accepted an offer to tie himself to the Murrayfield Stadium until 2017.
"I'm really happy to be able to continue working with the players, the organisation, the board, and everyone involved," he said in a statement.
"There are some talented players with some things to develop, and together we are focused on facing that challenge in what I think are exciting times for Scottish rugby all over."
To date, Scotland have won five of their 12 matches with the New Zealander at the helm.
