Great Britain swimmer Anthony Stephens has revealed that his performances in the London Paralympics have exceeded his own expectations.
Stephens, who is a double-leg amputee, did not pick up a medal during the Games but he said that he has swum quicker than he ever has before.
"[I did] better than expected," Stephens said. "I was gutted that I couldn't pip a medal in the 200m. This was my second chance to get one.
"I would have loved to get a medal in front of these guys but it wasn't to be. I've got a season's best in every event so I can't complain."
Stephens came fifth in tonight's S5 100m freestyle final.
