Great British number one has advanced to round two of the Dubai Tennis Championships by defeating Michael Berrer in a three-set match this afternoon.
Murray began the encounter positively, breaking his German opponent twice before going on to record a 6-3 success.
However, Berrer responded in the next set, upsetting the odds to win 6-4 and take the match into a decider.
Murray broke in the opening game, only to be broken straight back as Berrer levelled up the set at 1-1.
The set continued with serve until world number four Murray broke to take a 5-4 lead. The Scot then served out to win the match 6-3 4-6 6-4.
Today's win was Murray's 11th from 12 matches in 2012.
