Martin Klizan's run at the US Open was ended by Marin Cilic in round four this evening.
Current world number 52 Klizan had caused a couple of upsets at Flushing Meadows this year, most notably when he knocked out France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
However, Cilic didn't provide Klizan with any real chances during their clash.
The Croatian won the opening set 7-5, before a single break of Klizan's serve handed him the second set 6-4.
The third set proved to be even more straightforward for world number 13 Cilic, who wrapped up his place in the quarter-finals courtesy of a 6-0 bagel.
He will now face either Andy Murray or Milos Raonic for a slot in the semi-finals.
