Eve Muirhead: 'I like high-pressure matches'

Team GB curling skip Eve Muirhead says that the team are "super happy" to have qualified from the round robin stage of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Great Britain curling skip Eve Muirhead has insisted that she thrives on high-pressure situations as she looks forward to the Sochi 2014 semi-finals.

Muirhead and her side edged Russia this morning, but a last-gasp loss to Denmark means that Team GB will now face unbeaten Canada - rather than Sweden - in the last four.

Following their second game of the day, she told TeamGB.com: "I like playing under pressure, I'm a super competitive person and I like this stage and, at past tournaments, these are the matches when we've really stepped up our game.

"After our first couple of games I would have taken a semi-final slot, you can't complain about the semi-finals of the Olympics. We came out here to make the top four and we're super happy. We didn't finish the game against Denmark the way we would have liked but we'll move on.

"It's my first Olympic semi-final and there is a lot riding on it but we'll relax and enjoy it and try to not get too up tight. It doesn't matter who we play at this stage of the tournament.
"

Muirhead and her side are next in action against the Canadians on Wednesday.
