Sage Kotsenburg: 'I had never tried winning move before'

USA athlete Sage Kotsenburg says that he had never tried the 'Holy Crail' move which won him the gold medal in today's snowboard slopestyle event.

Snowboard slopestyle gold medallist Sage Kotsenburg has admitted that he had never tried the move that won him the event before today's final.

Known as the 'Holy Crail', the move consists of Kotsenburg rotating four-and-a-half times in the air while pulling his snowboard in towards his back.

"I'd never even tried it before, literally," Kotsenburg is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail. "Never ever tried it before in my life."

Great Britain's Jamie Nicholls and Billy Morgan came sixth and 10th in the event.
