Genoa and Fiorentina play out draw

Gonzalo Rodriguez cancels out Ciprian Tatarusanu's own goal as Genoa and Fiorentina play out a 1-1 draw in their Serie A match.

Gonzalo Rodriguez cancelled out Ciprian Tatarusanu's own goal as 10-man Genoa and Fiorentina played out a 1-1 draw in their Serie A clash this evening.

Stefano Sturaro hit the post for Genoa before Fiorentina keeper Tatarusanu gave the home side the lead after he put the ball into his own net.

In response, Fiorentina's Khouma Babacar received a pass and was given time inside the box to send a low strike towards goal, but Mattia Perin was there to make the save.

Rodriguez grabbed Fiorentina's equaliser in the second half after getting onto a cross and heading into the top left corner of the net.

Maxime Lestienne then wasted a big opportunity to put Genoa back in front as he hit the post from inside the box.

Nicolas Burdisso received a second yellow card for the hosts, but Fiorentina could not find a winner late on.
