Team News: David Silva fit for unchanged Manchester City

David Silva is passed fit for Manchester City as Manuel Pellegrini names an unchanged side for the Premier League visit of Aston Villa.

David Silva starts for Manchester City as they host Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium this evening.

The Spaniard left the pitch on a stretcher in last week's 2-0 win over West Ham United after being caught by an accidental elbow from Cheikhou Kouyate.

However, the diminutive playmaker is fit to be included as Manuel Pellegrini names an unchanged side. Eliaquim Mangala partners Martin Demichelis at the heart of the City defence, while Frank Lampard is also selected.

Meanwhile, Tim Sherwood has made three changes to the team that beat Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final last week.

Brad Guzan, Jores Okore and Carlos Sanchez all return in place of Shay Given, Charles N'Zogbia and Nathan Baker, who misses out through injury. Aly Cissokho returns to the Villa bench after a spell on the sidelines.

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Mangala, Kolarov, Fernando, Lampard, Navas, Yaya Toure, Silva, Aguero

Villa: Guzan, Bacuna, Okore, Vlaar, Richardson, Sanchez, Westwood, Cleverley, Delph, Grealish, Benteke.
