Stan van Gundy has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Detroit Pistons to become their new coach and president of basketball operations.
According to ESPN, the former Orlando Magic coach has verbally agreed to a five-year contract with the team, who fired Maurice Cheeks midway through the 2013-14 season.
The 54-year-old, who spent five years with the Magic before being fired two years ago, had also been linked to the coaching vacancy at the Golden State Warriors.
The report states that an official announcement from the Pistons could come later today.
