The Houston Rockets needed overtime to secure a 113-109 win over the Sacramento Kings, clinching a fifth win in their last six outings in the NBA.
The home side had surged ahead early on, with Darren Collison getting points on the board to leave Sacramento 10 points ahead by the end of the first quarter.
James Harden got the visitors back into the game after the break though, and made a three-pointer in the final seconds to send the game into overtime.
The shooting guard, who finished the game with 44 points, continued to threaten in the additional spell, adding seven unanswered points at the start of overtime to put the Rockets in control.
Collison made a three-pointer to cut the lead to just two points midway through overtime, but Harden stepped up with a couple of free throws to ensure that the home side did not complete their comeback.
The win leaves Houston with a 17-4 record, sitting fourth in the Western Conference, while Sacramento slip to 11-12.
