Los Angeles Lakers coach Byron Scott plans to use Kobe Bryant as an unofficial assistant next season, according to a report in the press.
LA-based NBA journalist Bill Oram has suggested that Scott will look to make use of Bryant's extensive experience in the league next season to help the franchise's playoff plight.
Bryant is expected to make his long-awaited return after sitting out of the back end of last campaign as he looked to overcome knee trouble.
Scott and Bryant have remained close friends since the former gave up his playing days to move into management.
