The Miami Heat's Shane Battier has dropped a hint that this season could be his last as an NBA player.
Battier has one year remaining on his current deal with the NBA champions and although he refused to rule out signing for a different franchise next summer, the 35-year-old admits that he will evaluate his options soon.
"I'm realistic to where I am at this point in my life," Battier told reporters.
"I'd like to finish my contract strong with the Miami Heat, and then we'll see where we go."
Battier started just 20 games for the Heat last season.
