Amir Khan has revealed that he would like to promote Great Britain gold medallist Nicola Adams if she turns professional.
Adams became the first ever female boxer to win gold at the Olympic Games on Thursday with victory over Chinese world number one Ren Cancan.
Khan recently obtained a promoter's licence and believes that he can help Adams become a world champion and inspire a generation in the process.
He told the Daily Mail: "I'm happy to take Nicola under my wing. I will make her a world champion and she will make a lot of money.
"What I want to do is start promoting more for girls, I want to get kids of the street and get them to try out boxing and also take boxing to schools.
'Maybe women didn't have the confidence before to get in the gym or never wanted the title to be a boxer. But I think now the way Nicola has proven everyone wrong and they'll be so many women taking part because it is a female sport too."
Khan plans to begin his comeback from a devastating defeat to Danny Garcia with a homecoming fight in December.
