Great Britain's David Florence failed to qualify for the Olympic final of C1 canoe slalom this afternoon.
The 29-year-old, who won silver at the 2008 Games in Beijing, finished 10th in the semi-final with a score of 106.16. That time was some seven seconds behind leader Sideris Tasiadis.
"This was the race I wanted to perform in and I haven't," he told BBC Sport shortly after learning that he not made the cut.
The world number one will now compete alongside Richard Houndslow in the final of the C2 later this week.
