Ian Bell has praised the Edgbaston crowd after he hit two half-centuries during England's emphatic win over Australia in the third Ashes Test.
Bell's place in the side would have been in doubt had he failed to perform at his home ground, but scores of 53 and 65 helped the Three Lions register an eight-wicket triumph to move 2-1 ahead in the five-Test series.
The 33-year-old told Sky Sports News: "The great thing was coming home. I was able to sleep at home every night and be in familiar surroundings with lots of friends.
"When I walked out to bat on that first day, I could feel that everyone was with me here and hopefully this is the start of me getting myself back into form."
The fourth Test at Trent Bridge gets underway on August 6.
