England batsman Eoin Morgan will undergo surgery on a broken finger on Friday.

England batsman Eoin Morgan has been ruled out for several weeks with a broken finger.

Morgan suffered the injury during the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final with South Africa, but he had continued to play through the pain barrier.

However, the 26-year-old pulled out of Thursday's Twenty20 clash with New Zealand and will now spend time on the sidelines.

The left-hander has represented England in all forms of the game, making 16 Test, 102 one-day international and 36 Twenty20 appearances.
