AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani says that the club will offer refunds on season tickets to disgruntled fans following the departures of Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

AC Milan have offering refunds on season tickets in the wake of Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's moves to Paris Saint-Germain.

Some fans have filed a lawsuit against the club after they purchased season tickets on the assumption that Silva and Ibrahimovic would remain at the San Siro in the coming season.

However, they have been left furious following the two deals and some even staged a mock funeral outside the club's headquarters this week.

Chief executive Adriano Galliani has now released a statement saying that the club will be offering refunds, but said that they intend to fight the lawsuit, stating that it is "without foundation".

"Milan has confirmed its readiness to dissolve agreements for season tickets for the first team's home games for 2012-13, under conditions specified and inside a specific time period," said Galliani.

"Milan firmly reiterates that this willingness is dictated by the need for style and love of the club towards its supporters and independent of any legal analysis. Milan, on the contrary believes that the [lawsuit filed] is without foundation."

Milan received a reported £55m fee combined for the two players.
