It has been reported that Lionel Messi wants to play in both of Argentina's upcoming World Cup 2022 qualifying matches.
The 34-year-old has not featured in the last two Paris Saint-Germain matches due to his hamstring injury, but he was still selected to travel and represent his country.
The French team had requested that FIFA block Argentina from allowing Messi to be involved in the squad due to his injury.
However, a source told Mundo Deportivo that the Argentina captain intends on playing in both matches: "Leo does not come for a walk,he comes to play," the report read.
The White and Sky Blues will face Uruguay and Brazil during this international break, with the team sitting second place in their World Cup 2022 qualifying group.
