Mesut Ozil has vowed that Arsenal will "battle from the first minute until the last" to turn around their Champions League last-16 tie with Monaco.
The Gunners make the trip to the Stade Louis II on Tuesday after suffering a shock 3-1 defeat in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.
Despite Arsenal's chances of progressing looking slim, Ozil believes that he and his teammates are more than capable of making it through to the quarter-finals of the competition.
"It's very important to score early, but we will remain patient," the Germany international told the club's official website. "We want to fight and battle from the first minute until the last.
"This is a match that we are determined to win. We have to score three goals and our aim is to do just that while remaining tight in defence. If we play as we are capable of doing in Monaco, I still believe that we have a real chance to progress."
Arsenal head to Monaco on the back of a comfortable 3-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League.
