Arsenal's Petr Cech 'confident' David Ospina will perform against Tottenham

Petr Cech is confident that David Ospina will perform for Arsenal in Saturday's North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has backed his stand-in David Ospina to perform well against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Cech has been ruled out for three to four weeks with a calf injury.

The number one keeper suffered the injury during Wednesday night's 2-1 defeat to Swansea City at the Emirates.

"I think everybody at the club, including the staff and the players, has big confidence in him because we can see in training and in his international games that he is a great goalkeeper," Cech told the club's official website.

"We have full confidence in him and it won't be a problem. He has enough experience to play this type of game and he has played this game before so I think he will be fine."

Cech is also expected to be absent from Arsenal's Champions League last-16 second leg against Barcelona at Camp Nou.
