Jack Wilshere plays down injury concern

Jack Wilshere says that he suffered "only a bruise" during England's friendly international win against Denmark on Wednesday.

Jack Wilshere has played down the injury he suffered during England's 1-0 victory over Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday.

The Arsenal midfielder was involved in a challenge with Daniel Agger early on in the friendly international, but continued to play until he was substituted just before the hour mark.

"I'm fine," the 22-year-old told Sky Sports News. "It's a bit sore but it's only a bruise.

"I've had a scan already and it showed just a bruise, so I'll be alright."

Daniel Sturridge scored the only goal of the match in the 81st minute.
