Tomas Rosicky admits that he feels under pressure to make an instant impact after returning from injury against Olympiacos on Tuesday.

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has admitted that he is desperate to make up for lost time this season and help the Gunners turn things around.

Rosicky scored on his first start of the campaign on Tuesday against Olympiacos before being withdrawn after 45 minutes.

The Czech playmaker has insisted that he will aim to replicate the sparkling form he displayed towards the end of last season, helping Arsenal rally to finish third.

He told the club's official website: "I'm very happy to come back because it was a long time for me. Arsene Wenger told me before the game that he would let me play just until half time. I hope I can build everything up again.

"It's just part of the game. You have to take it. It's difficult for me. I can admit it because I had a good season behind me. I want to do the same as I did last year.

"You have to fight and that's what I'm able to do. As a team now, we're not in a good position and we have to stick together now and fight. That's the only thing we can do now. I will do my best to help this great club to be much better again."

The 32-year-old is thought to be fit for selection this weekend as Arsenal entertain West Bromwich Albion.
