Martin Skrtel "confident" Liverpool can beat Arsenal

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is "confident" that he and his teammates can defeat Arsenal at Anfield this Saturday.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is "confident" that he and his teammates can grab all three points from their clash against Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds sit eight points behind leaders Arsenal in the Premier League table following Sunday's 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

However, the Merseyside outfit were beaten 2-0 by the Gunners at the Emirates in November.

"I am confident we can beat Arsenal because we definitely have the strength to do so," Skrtel told the club's official website. "They are the leaders at the moment but we can give them a hard time. It won't be an easy game but I am sure we can do something in front of our fans."

Liverpool currently reside in fourth place with a two-point advantage over local rivals Everton.
