Arsene Wenger says that Arsenal can still finish third going into their final match of the season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger firmly believes that the club will be playing Champions League football next season following their win over Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.

The Gunners confirmed that they will control their own fate going into the final game of the campaign, as well as relegating the Latics to the Championship following their 4-1 triumph at the Emirates.

Wenger's side are one point above rivals Tottenham Hotspur with a single match to play, and the Frenchman is confident that they can stay there.

"It's all open. But it depends on our result. Even third place is not out of sight if we win our game," Wenger said.

"I am confident, because we have experience. Because we play for a long time now under massive pressure and have always found solutions for the problems we've faced, so I'm confident."

Arsenal travel to Newcastle United for their final game of the season.
