Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he will not delve back into the transfer window to buy a replacement for outgoing striker Robin van Persie.
The 29-year-old, who was an unused substitute in the Netherlands' 3-2 defeat to Belgium in an international friendly last night, has confirmed his departure from the Gunners after a fee between Arsenal and Manchester United was agreed yesterday for the prolific frontman.
"We have already recruited [Olivier] Giroud and [Lukas] Podolski, who originally were intended to offset the departure of Van Persie," Wenger told TF1.
Van Persie is expected to agree personal terms with the Red Devils and complete a medical at some point in Manchester today.
