Preview: Arsenal vs. Queens Park Rangers

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Queens Park Rangers at the Emirates Stadium.

Queens Park Rangers will continue to look for their first away points of the Premier League season when they travel to the Emirates to take on London rivals Arsenal on Boxing Day.

Harry Redknapp's side climbed out of the bottom three at the weekend when they came from behind to beat West Bromwich Albion 3-2, leaving them two points clear of the relegation zone.

Striker Charlie Austin will continue to lead the attack after returning from suspension to score a hat-trick last weekend.

The manager is yet to hold his pre-match press conference to confirm his players' availability, but the team have reported no new injury concerns since the victory on Saturday.

A win for QPR, who have three victories in their last five outings, could be enough to lift the team as high as 12th in the table.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be looking to bounce back after conceding a late equaliser against Liverpool at the weekend, which has left them sixth in the table.

The 2-2 draw at Anfield has left Arsene Wenger's men two points adrift of fifth-placed Southampton, and 15 off league leaders Chelsea.

The Gunners' form has been patchy in recent weeks, with three wins, three defeats and a draw coming from their last seven matches in the league.

Injuries have played a part for Arsenal, but Tomas Rosicky and Yaya Sanogo are both expected to be available again for the visit of QPR on Friday.

However, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere will continue to be sidelined over the Christmas period, while Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta also miss the match.

The manager believes that this outing will be too soon for Laurent Koscielny, but that he could feature two days later against West Ham United.

Last time two teams were in the top flight together, Arsenal won both matches 1-0.
