Arsenal have considered a move for Brighton & Hove Albion forward Leandro Trossard during the summer transfer window, according to a report.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with Trossard's Belgium teammate Youri Tielemans of Leicester City this summer, as Mikel Arteta searches for reinforcements in the centre of midfield.
However, Arteta wishes to strengthen in several areas of the pitch in the coming weeks to help Arsenal push for Champions League qualification during the 2022-23 campaign, something which they narrowly missed out on on the final day of the Premier League campaign last season.
One such target for the forward area is said to be Brighton's Trossard, according to Voetbal Belgie, who report that Arteta wishes to bring him, and Tielemans, to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Trossard enjoyed a positive 2021-22 campaign with the Seagulls, scoring eight goals and registering three assists in 34 league appearances, helping Graham Potter's side record a club-record finish of ninth in the Premier League.
Since making the move to Brighton for around £17.7m from Belgian outfit Genk, the 27-year-old has gone on to make 104 appearances for the club across all competitions, whilst featuring 17 times for his country during that time as well.
