Aston Villa are reportedly expected to turn down any January offers for Douglas Luiz amid interest from Manchester City and Arsenal.
With clubs beginning to make plans for the January transfer window, Luiz has emerged as a target for some of the Premier League's biggest clubs.
A recent report claimed Arsenal view Luiz as a priority target, despite failing in their efforts to sign the Brazilian in 2022.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen their midfield, with Thomas Partey currently sidelined and facing an uncertain future at the club.
Arsenal are being rivalled by European champions Man City, who are keen to bring Luiz back to the Etihad Stadium after selling him to Aston Villa in 2022.

Despite joining Man City in 2017, Luiz went on to spend two years on loan with Girona, before leaving the Citizens without making a single appearance.
With England international Kalvin Phillips set to leave in January, the Premier League winners are believed to be on the lookout for a new midfielder.
Although Luiz is attracting significant interest, 90min are reporting that Aston Villa will reject any offers made for Luiz in the January window.
Luiz, who has also been linked with Liverpool, has established himself as a key part of Unai Emery's side and the Villans have no intention of selling him.

The Midlands club are under no pressure to sanction a sale, with the Brazil international under contract until the summer of 2025.
Luiz is reportedly determined to help Aston Villa clinch silverware and qualify for the Champions League this season.
Having won nine of their 13 top-flight matches, the Villans are currently sitting in fourth position with a two-point buffer to fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old has started every Premier League match this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
In total, the midfielder has contributed 18 goals and 17 assists in 171 appearances for the clubs across all competitions.
