Forward Eddie Nketiah is reportedly still keen to depart Arsenal in January, despite netting a hat-trick in the EFL Cup earlier this week.

Eddie Nketiah is reportedly still open to securing a departure from Arsenal during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old netted a hat-trick earlier this week as the Gunners recorded a 5-1 victory over Sunderland in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

However, the academy graduate has played just 38 minutes of Premier League football this season, a pivotal factor when rejecting Arsenal's offer of a new contract.

Despite Mikel Arteta frequently stating that he wishes to retain the services of the forward, the Daily Mail says that a January sale is still a realistically possibility.

As well as being able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club, Nketiah is not short of interest from other English top-flight teams, including West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion.

A decision over whether to cash in on Nketiah could depend on whether Arteta resolves his ongoing situation with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who may be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium due to his latest disciplinary breach.
