Liverpool are reportedly expecting Real Madrid to make an official bid for Luis Suarez this week.
The Uruguayan striker told reporters in Brazil during the Confederations Cup last month that a move to Los Blancos would tempt him.
Suarez also claimed that he wanted to leave England, citing incessant media attention after he bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during their 2-2 draw at Anfield in April.
So far, only Arsenal have made a concrete offer for Suarez - a £30m bid that was rejected last week - but the Spanish giants will make their move later this week, according to The Mirror.
A report last week claimed that the Reds would be willing to do business at £40m, but Reds Managing Director Ian Ayre said on Tuesday that the Reds had no intention of selling Suarez.
Suarez scored 30 goals for Liverpool last season and was voted the club's Player of the Year.
