Manchester City have reportedly reached an agreement with Brazilian champions Atletico Mineiro to sign teenage starlet Savio this summer.
The 17-year-old winger – also known as Savinho – has been strongly linked with a switch to the Etihad Stadium in recent weeks, while Arsenal, RB Leipzig, and Red Bull Salzburg have also registered their interest.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, City have now agreed to sign Savio for €6.5m (£5.5m) plus add-ons and a sell-on clause has also been inserted in the deal.
Romano adds that the winger will join up with City Football Group in the summer, with only paperwork to be signed before the transfer can be completed and announced.
Savio has already made 23 appearances for Atletico Mineiro's senior team, including 12 appearances in all tournaments during the 2021 campaign, and he has also scored four goals in six appearances for the Brazil Under-16s national team.
A previous report has suggested that Savio could be loaned out to Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven ahead of the 2022-23 campaign once he competes his move to Man City.
