Hertha Berlin are set to sign Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi on loan, according to a report.

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is reportedly set to join Hertha Berlin on loan.

The 21-year-old has not turned out for the Gunners since June 20, when an altercation with Brighton & Hove Albion's Neal Maupay led to him losing his spot in the first-team squad.

The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium over the last few months but is currently still with Mikel Arteta's side heading into transfer deadline day.

According to The Mirror, Guendouzi is primed to join Hertha on loan for the 2020-21 campaign, although it is unclear whether the Bundesliga side will have the option to make the deal permanent.

Valencia and Paris Saint-Germain are among the other teams to be credited with an interest in the Frenchman during this summer's transfer window.

Guendouzi's current deal with Arsenal is due to run until June 2022.
