Shkodran Mustafi has claimed that he hopes that his Arsenal teammate Alexis Sanchez opts to stay at the club.
Uncertainty continues to surround the Chile international as he is yet to sign a new contract, despite opening talks with the Gunners at the start of last season.
Sanchez was an influential figure in Arsenal's team in the 2016-17 campaign, scoring 30 goals and creating 13 assists in all competitions, but the fact that he has just one year left on his current deal has led to suggestions that he could move on.
Manchester City and Chelsea have been touted as potential suitors, while Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are thought to be interested in signing the attacker, who is believed to want around £300,000-a-week wages.
"I hope he stays," Mustafi told Bild. "He is an extraordinary player, for me one of the best in the world. I have experienced few players who are as hungry as him. As soon as he is on the ball, everyone knows something can happen.
"He can play in every team. He could play anywhere, even at Bayern."
Sanchez joined Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014.
