Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi says that he is currently giving no thought to his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has acknowledged that now is not the right time to give much thought to his future at the Emirates Stadium.

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, professional football across Europe has been suspended for at least the next month.

With just over a year remaining on his contract, it is unclear whether the Germany international will remain in North London, either in the short or long term.

However, the 27-year-old has revealed that he does not intend to give much consideration to his future plans until football resumes, presumably later this year.

Speaking to Sky Germany, Mustafi said: "We are in a situation where everyone is worried about the current situation and not so much about their personal future. It is difficult to think about my personal future.

"None of us know what will happen next and when we can play again. So, once we have overcome this difficult time and are back on the pitch, I can think about questions like that. At the moment I don't think about it."

Mustafi has made 15 starts and two substitute outings in all competitions this season.
