Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is reportedly planning to hand in a transfer request in an attempt to facilitate a move to Arsenal.
The Uruguayan has told Anfield officials that he wants to leave following the Gunners' £42m bid earlier this week, Goal.com claims.
Liverpool were quick to reject the offer for the controversial forward, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be determined to bring Suarez to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners' offer is a club record, dwarfing the £23.1m Arsenal tabled for Napoli-bound Gonzalo Higuain earlier this month.
Suarez made an 18-minute substitute appearance for Liverpool during their 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory in today's pre-season friendly.
