Theo Walcott hints at new Arsenal deal

Theo Walcott says that he wants to stay at Arsenal and hints that he may be close to signing a contract extension at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has revealed that he wants to sign a contract extension with the club.

The England international's current deal at the Emirates Stadium expires at the end of the season, and he has yet to reach an agreement with the Gunners over extending his stay.

Despite rumours that he has held talks with Chelsea, Walcott has hinted that he may be close to signing a new deal with Arsenal.

"I'm sure that something will be sorted very soon," said Walcott.

"I've always said I wanted to stay and I enjoy playing for this team. Now we will just see what happens.

"I will continue to play my football and let the people who look after me and the club talk to each other and go from there."

Walcott has netted 14 goals in all competitions so far this season.
