Arsenal's Jack Wilshere says that there has been no progress regarding his contract talks with the club.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere has admitted that there has been no progress regarding his contract talks with the club.

The midfielder said that "things have changed" since he was offered a new deal which would reduce his basic salary by around 20% to £90,000 a week.

"Things have changed since then. We are no closer to sorting anything out," The Telegraph quotes Wilshere as saying.

Although the new contract would see Wilshere take a pay cut on his basic wage, it also includes performance-related bonuses which could take his earnings beyond his current weekly salary of £110,000.

Arsenal are said to have insisted on a performance-related deal due to Wilshere's injury record.

The player will become a free agent in June.
