A number of Bundesliga clubs are reportedly showing an interest in signing an Aston Villa youngster on loan for 2024-25.

An Aston Villa prospect is reportedly attracting widespread interest from Germany ahead of next season.

The West Midlands outfit have had one of the best academy setups in the Premier League for some time, mixing using the talent in their senior ranks and cashing in some starlets to bolster their financial position.

As well as Carney Chukwuemeka joining Chelsea in 2022 for a £20m fee, Villa generated £35m through the sales of Jacob Ramsey, Jaden Philogene and Cameron Archer during the last summer transfer window.

More recently, the likes of Kaine Kesler-Hayden and Tim Iroegbunam have been used in the first-team setup, as has winger Omari Kellyman.

However, it appears Villa are currently more inclined to allow another academy player go out on loan rather than remain at the club for 2024-25.

Bundesliga clubs admirers of Young

According to Football Insider, there are clubs in Germany who hold an interest in loaning Kadan Young.

While the 18-year-old is yet to make his debut under Unai Emery, the winger has been included in a number of first-team squads this season.

In terms of academy action, Young has made a total of 14 appearances across games in the Under-18s Premier League, Premier League 2 and the PL2 Playoffs.

Although just one goal and two assists have come from those outings, Young has three strikes and six assists from 27 matches for Villa Under-23s.

He is also a four-cap England Under-17 international, each of his appearances coming at last year's Euro 2023 where he got on the scoresheet in the fifth-placed match against Switzerland.

Villa prefer loan exit

The report claims that Young has already been told that he will spend next season plying his trade at another club.

With the consensus being that he is ready for regular first-team football, Villa must now find a team that can deliver on that front.

Realistically, a lower-end Bundesliga outfit is the most likely option should the decision be made to facilitate a temporary switch to Germany.

Villa do have a history of engineering successful loan stints in the Championship, an alternative that cannot be ruled out at this stage.
