Championship trio 'want Gary Gardner'

West Bromwich Albion, Queens Park Rangers and Bolton Wanderers all want to sign Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner, according to a report.

West Bromwich Albion, Queens Park Rangers and Bolton Wanderers reportedly all want to sign Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner.

Gardner, who made his Villa debut against Chelsea back in 2011, spent last season on loan at Barnsley.

The former England Under-21 international has also had recent loan spells at Nottingham Forest, and is expected to move on before the transfer window closes next week.

According to Sky Sports News, the 26-year-old is the subject of interest from West Brom, QPR and Bolton amid suggestions that Villa are prepared to part with the midfielder.

Gardner scored once in 26 Championship appearances for Villa during the 2016-17 season.
