Stoke City have reportedly been warned off making another bid for James Chester after falling short with their £10m offer for the Aston Villa defender.
The Potters are said to have made a formal approach for the Wales international, who played every minute for the Villans during their run to last season's Championship playoff final.
Villa have knocked back Stoke's bid, however, and the Daily Mail claims that Chester will not be sold at any price.
Following the arrival of new backers last week, the West Midlands outfit will now attempt to tie the 29-year-old down to a long-term contract.
Chester joined Villa from West Bromwich Albion in a £7m deal two years ago.
