Aymeric Laporte coy on future

Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte remains tight-lipped on his future amid speculation that he will leave San Mames this summer.

Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte has refused to comment on speculation that he could leave the Basque club this summer.

A host of clubs have been linked with the French youth international, but Laporte has said that he is fully focused on Bilbao's Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on Saturday.

"What I will say is that I have a contract until 2018 and I wish to remain quiet [about my future]," the 21-year-old told reporters.

"I'm focused on Saturday's game and only thinking about Athletic. I'm not thinking about [a move away], really. It's not something that will affect my performance [in the final]. I'll play as I always have, with tranquillity."

Manchester United are said to have a keen interest in the youngster.
