Antoine Griezmann has issued an apology for France's uninspiring goalless draw with Denmark in Tuesday's World Cup encounter at the Luzhniki Stadium.
Both sides served up the first stalemate of Russia 2018 amid jeers from the crowd in a match that saw both sides qualify from Group C.
Despite admitting that "it was not very pretty" to watch, Griezmann played down reports of frustration by stating that he is "used to playing like that" for Atletico Madrid.
"Frustrated? No, I am used to playing like that..." the 27-year-old told journalists in the mixed zone.
"At club level, we play that way often. It is true that it was not very pretty to see at the stadium or on TV - I am sorry for the people who expected lots of goals or nice moves, which was not the case here.
"We are through and we topped the group, that can be enough - or not. The reality is that no matter the team, you have to beat them to go all the way. We trust ourselves, we know that there are a few things to work on, but we are also confident."
Up next for France is a last-16 tie against either Nigeria, Argentina or Iceland in Kazan.
