Ronaldinho rules out retirement

Ronaldinho insists that he will not be retiring in the near future following his departure from Atletico Mineiro.

Ronaldinho has insisted that he is not preparing to announce his retirement from football.

The Brazilian is a free agent once again after his contract with Atletico Mineiro was terminated by mutual consent, but he is certain that the latest twist in his career will not encourage him to hang up his boots.

"Retirement, for now, is not a possibility," Ronaldinho told reporters. "Starting next week, we'll talk about my future.

"I'll take these days to just stay away from everything and get some rest, but I know his phone has been ringing a lot."

The 34-year-old was linked with Queens Park Rangers earlier this week, but River Plate are rumoured to be leading the chase for his signature.
