Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is reportedly set to be ruled out for up to four months with a knee injury.
The 25-year-old was forced off after a 29-minute stint for France in their second Group F match at Euro 2020 against Hungary last Saturday.
Dembele went for scans the following day before being released from the French camp on Monday, who confirmed his removal from the squad.
L'Equipe reports that Dembele will need to have surgery on his right knee and is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines that may stretch through to October.
The report also states that his surgery could take place in Finland, where the Barca attacker has had previous operations in September 2017 and February 2020.
Dembele, who has been hampered with injuries in the past, made 44 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists.
