Barcelona confirm Jordi Alba return

Jordi Alba returns to Barcelona to undergo scans on the thigh injury that he suffered on international duty.

Barcelona have revealed that Jordi Alba has returned to the club to have tests on his thigh injury.

The full-back picked up the problem during the closing moments of Spain's 1-1 draw with Finland last night.

Early reports have suggested that the 24-year-old has suffered a slight tear to the muscle, which could rule him out of action for a number of weeks.

In a short statement on the club's official website, Barcelona confirmed that they would provide an update on the severity of the injury tomorrow afternoon.
