Josep Maria Bartomeu: 'Luis Enrique is staying at Barcelona'

Luis Enrique will remain in charge of Barcelona next season, according to the Catalan club's president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has insisted that Luis Enrique will remain the club's head coach next season.

It has been reported that Enrique could be prepared to walk away from the Camp Nou this summer even if he secures a historic treble.

The Spaniard's relationship with Lionel Messi is said to be strained despite the team's success, but Bartomeu is confident that Enrique will remain in charge of the new La Liga champions.

"He has an ongoing contract, end of debate," Bartomeu has been quoted as saying by Marca.

"We are presently focused on the competitions we are in. Luis Enrique's future is not something that we talk about. This is everyone's success. The players', the coaches'. They do a magnificent job every week.

"La Liga was the main objective of the season. Now we look to the second one, the Copa del Rey. Next year there will be other challenges."

Sunday's 1-0 victory at Atletico Madrid secured the 2014-15 La Liga title for Barcelona.
