Andres Iniesta hails Luis Suarez

Andres Iniesta says that new Barcelona signing Luis Suarez is one of the best strikers in the world.

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has hailed Luis Suarez as "one of the best strikers in the world".

The Uruguay international completed his move to the La Liga outfit earlier this month for a reported fee of £75m.

Suarez will miss the start of the season after being given a four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup, but Iniesta has chosen to highlight the qualities that he will bring to his new team.

"Right now he's one of the best strikers in the world and he will bring to us that ambition he has to score goals, his willingness to work hard, that mobility that characterises him," he told reporters.

"It's fundamental for a midfielder to have a player with those characteristics in the team."

Suarez could make his Barcelona debut against Real Madrid when his ban expires.
