Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reportedly informed Ronald Koeman that the Catalan giants are currently looking for a new head coach.
Koeman delivered the Copa del Rey during his first season as head coach, but the club fell short in both La Liga and the Champions League, leading to speculation surrounding the Dutchman's future.
Laporta is said to have held showdown talks with the team's current manager on Tuesday evening, and it has been reported that the discussion lasted less than 30 minutes.
According to TV3, Koeman was told by Laporta that Barca are actively looking for a new head coach.
There has not yet been an official announcement surrounding the Dutchman's future, but it does appear that he will be leaving Camp Nou in the coming weeks.
Barca are working on a number of incomings behind the scenes, meanwhile, with Eric Garcia, Sergio Aguero, Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay all potentially arriving on free transfers.
