Sergio Busquets is reportedly one of four players Barcelona are looking to tie down, having recently agreed fresh terms with the likes of Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique.

Barcelona are reportedly preparing to offer new deals to another quartet of players, including long-serving central midfielder Sergio Busquets.

The Spanish champions have already tied down Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Sergi Roberto to new long-term contracts.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca intend to take up the renewal clause in Busquets's contract to keep him at Camp Nou beyond 2021.

Jordi Alba, who also has three years left to run on his existing terms, is also believed to been offered the chance to put pen to paper, as have Ivan Rakitic and defender Thomas Vermaelen.

The same report indicates that manager Ernesto Valverde will also open talks over his future following an impressive first 12 months in charge.
