Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Bayern Munich.
De Jong is currently in the middle of his second campaign at Camp Nou, having made a total of 49 starts and eight substitute appearances in all competitions since his arrival from Ajax.
However, while the Netherlands international remains a key man under Ronald Koeman, the club's financial situation means that the majority of the first-team squad may be open to offers in the future.
According to reports in Spain, Bayern may be prepared to reignite their previous interest in the 23-year-old having missed out on him in 2019.
With pay cuts having already taken place at the Catalan giants, Bayern would not expect to pay the £65m which Barca shelled out last year.
De Jong still has five-and-a-half years left on his contract, a potential sticking point if negotiations are held over the coming months.
